Boston is extremely walkable and you can reach most of the recommended restaurants and activities within 30 minutes. For longer trips, the subway and bus system (the MBTA or just the T) is convenient, but you will need to buy a pass, which is available essentially only at underground stops, but can be refilled using cash on the train at above-ground stops and buses. There are also many bike-sharing locations, e-scooters, and Lyft or Uber.
